Mi Fa
Painter. Traditional Vietnamese Diep paper (scallop paper)
Since 2015, she has focused on researching and experimenting with acrylic paint on traditional Vietnamese Diep paper (scallop paper).
Mifa's artistic practice delves into the harmony and conflict of Eastern nature in the era of globalization, along with the desire to preserve and develop the folk spirit expressed through painting. She is interested in fully exploiting the effect of acrylic paint on the surface of Diep paper through the creation of personal painting techniques inspired by the surface of Vietnamese lacquer paintings combined with painting techniques of ancient Eastern civilizations such as gold-plating techniques on paper, calligraphy, watercolor, hand-printing, paper-mounting...
Mifa's works are closely linked to the emotional flow of nature, the poetry in cultures, and the inner conflicts in human psychology. Her works have been displayed in China at the Yunnan Museum of Literature and Arts, the Dehong Museum of Arts, the Dehong Cultural Center, the Xishuangbanna Ethnic Museum; and in Vietnam in Hanoi, Saigon, Da Lat, Da Nang.
